I recently had the pleasure of going to Mildura to spend time with family and friends (Mildura is my home town) AND also hold my very first book launch with my awesome Mildura supporters 🙂
I wanted to share this with you, as my excitement continues with the launch of my book and great reviews I’ve received from readers already AND the Collins Booksellers store in Mildura selling it too. Seeing it on a book store shelf is very exciting.
Thank you to everyone in Mildura who celebrated my book launch of The Unlikely Marathoner with me, see photos HERE of the event.
This has been a big goal of mine to write my book and share my story to people so I could inspire others with my story.
A few years ago, I think it was back in 2009 (maybe) I was asked to write on a card three points, of what my purpose is, wow! What a question. This was an exercise a group of us were asked to do. I could see a few people having to think for a while, but mine came straight to me as I scribbled it on the card.
I found this card a couple of years back, as I was moving out of my apartment, it made me smile as I could see that I was achieving this through my actions since Run Donna Run began.
If you are finding it hard to read my scribble 🙂 the card says: ‘My purpose is to inspire, motivate others by telling my story. I want to make a difference. Give others an A-HA moment!’
Ever since I found it I have kept it close and stuck it (every year) inside the cover of my diary.
I’m sharing this with you, not only to brag J but to ask you the same question! And maybe you could write it on a card and keep it close to you.
What is your purpose? Feel free to share in the comments below, I’d love to see what your three points are 🙂
The Power is in Me…it’s in You too!
